Extended Pharmacy Services

We provide funded, low-cost consultations and treatment for a growing list of health conditions. This is a government-funded service that makes it easier to get help, without needing to see a doctor first.

• Pain and fever management for children
• Dehydration (oral rehydration) treatment for children
• Conjunctivitis (eye infection) treatment for children
• Head lice treatment for children and their whānau
• Scabies treatment for children and their whānau
• Minor skin infection treatment for children
• Mild eczema and dermatitis treatment for children
• Oral thrush treatment for children
• Vaginal thrush treatment
• Urinary tract infection (UTI) treatment
• Emergency contraceptive pill (the morning after pill)
• Contraceptive pill

Vaccinations

Vaccination is the safest and most effective way to protect yourself and your whānau. Our pharmacists provide:

• Influenza (flu)
• COVID-19
• Boostrix (tetanus, diphtheria and whooping cough)
• Human papillomavirus (HPV)
• MMR (measles, mumps and rubella)
• RSV (respiratory syncytial virus)
• Shingles
• Meningococcal

Some vaccinations are free for people who are eligible. Ask us about cost and eligibility.

Vitamin B12 injections

Our pharmacy offers a convenient Vitamin B12 administration service provided by our highly trained pharmacists. Vitamin B12 injections may be recommended for people with low B12 levels or those experiencing symptoms such as fatigue, low energy, or dietary deficiency. If you have been prescribed Vitamin B12 by your primary healthcare provider, we can safely administer your injection in a private consultation room at a cost of $20. Our team is here to support your ongoing health and wellbeing with professional, accessible care.

Stop smoking

We can help you quit. We provide a free first consultation, nicotine replacement products (subsidised through Pharmac) and quit smoking advice, with no appointment needed.

Erectile dysfunction

Our specially trained pharmacists can provide sildenafil for men aged 35 to 70 who meet the assessment criteria, after a private consultation and health check.

Gout

Gout is one of the most commonly misunderstood long-term conditions. Come and see one of our pharmacists for a free consultation about your symptoms and the best ongoing treatment. We can also test uric acid levels on site, with an instant result.

Warfarin testing

If you take warfarin, you can have your INR tested here with a quick finger prick. You get the result and dose advice in a few minutes, which saves you a trip to the laboratory.
